Exalted - Defensive

(Fer those who don't know, Exalted is a tabletop RPG setting by Whitewolf. It's awesome.)

Well, the Exalted campaign I've been playing in for the past two years finally came to its EPIC conclusion the other week, so most of what I've been drawing recently has been scenes from our big final battle and the lovely epilogue. This was one of the bits I found most illustrate-able.

Walker Among Knights has been one of the reoccurring NPC Abyssal enemies throughout the game, as well as a former member of the party's first age group and a very close first age friend of Jun, my Glorious Solar PC. A few sessions ago, he decided to ally with the group to stop his boss, the even MORE evil Daybreak necro/magitechnician of DOOM who was planning a full-on assault on our poor, defenseless... er, first age factory cathedral. Okay, not that defenseless.

Anywho, so Jun and Walker are both Compassion based, and they were really *ahem* really close in the first age, so when Walker gets knocked down near the end of the battle, Jun accidentally yells out his first age name and runs to protect him. As many Exalted fans know, Compassion based Abyssal + presence of a positive intimacy = Abyssal without a perfect defense. Drama ensued.

But it worked out alright in the end, maybe I'll draw that next.
